fragmenty z korespondencji z ostatnich dni...
"I am in disbelief right now. In fact, I am having a hard time controlling my emotions.
This car, which we used to call "Old Betsy" was bought by my father...
...My father cherished this car and meticulously maintained it until we could no longer afford to do so.
You have done such an amazing job on the work. It looks beautiful. This car has so much meaning to me...
...And this car, was the car that my father taught me how to drive.
I can't believe that you have just emailed me this information and these photos.
I am grateful. Please keep in touch with me, because if there is ever a time that you would look
to sell this car and I am hopefully in a position to buy it then I will be there.
Thank you so much Jakub, this is a blessing....
...The original car was actually a light tan exterior color, with brown leather interior.
It did not have the stripes and it did not have the intake valves on the hood.
I will call my mother to confirm on the exterior color b/c I feel that she may have told me that
it was white at one point. I will also look for some pictures and see if I can find any.
This was my parents family car so they used it everyday until probably the early 1980s.
After that, my dad kept it as his summer car and only drove it for 3 months of the year.
He winterized the car every year and always kept it covered in our garage.
It was kept that way until 1999 or 2000 which is when we had to move.
If memory serves me correctly, the car didn't have any rust on it until 2004 and that is when my dad moved to Florida
and the car came with him. So if I had to guess I would think that the car only has 122K original miles on it.
...Personally, I really like what you did to it. It gives it a real fresh look and make over that Old Betsy deserves...."
